This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the Vedangam Kundali Pro mobile application published by ASTRO VEDANGAM PRIVATE LIMITED ("Astro Vedangam", "we", "our", or "us"). It explains what information the app handles, why it is used, how it is protected, and what choices you have.

Vedangam Kundali Pro is a Vedic astrology calculation, charting, Panchang, dasha, yoga, muhurta, matching, transit, and study tool. It is separate from Astro Vedangam's consultation marketplace services. This app does not provide live consultation chat, audio/video calls, consultant booking, or account-based marketplace features.

1. Information the App Handles

Depending on how you use the app, the following information may be entered, generated, stored, or processed:

Chart and birth details: name or chart label, date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, latitude, longitude, time zone, gender if entered, and related chart preferences.
Generated astrology data: Kundali charts, divisional charts, Panchang values, dashas, yogas, muhurta calculations, compatibility calculations, transits, saved workspaces, and related calculation output.
Location data: if you choose the current-location option, the app may use your device location to calculate Panchang or location-dependent astrology values.
Place search data: when you search for or select a place, the app may send the place query or coordinates to a geocoding service so the app can find latitude, longitude, and time zone information.
Import/export files: if you import, export, save, share, or back up charts or reports, the app may access the file or photo permissions needed for that user-initiated action.
Purchase status: if the app offers paid features, Apple App Store or Google Play may process your purchase and the app may store your entitlement status locally so premium features remain available.
Support information: if you contact us by email or through a support channel, we may receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, screenshots, device details, or issue description.

2. Information We Do Not Collect in This App

Vedangam Kundali Pro is designed to work without a user account. Unless we clearly add such features in a future version and update this policy, this app does not collect or operate the following:

No account registration or sign-in is required.
No live consultation chat, audio calls, video calls, or session recordings are provided in this app.
No advertising network tracking is used.
No sale of personal data is performed.
No cross-app or cross-site tracking is performed by Astro Vedangam through this app.
No contact list, calendar, microphone, or camera access is required for normal chart calculation use.

3. How We Use Information

Information handled by the app is used for the following purposes:

App functionality: to create, save, open, calculate, and display Kundali charts, Panchang, dasha, yoga, muhurta, matching, transit, and related astrology outputs.
Location-based calculation: to calculate Panchang and other location-sensitive values for the place you choose or your current location when you allow it.
Place lookup: to convert a searched place or coordinates into usable latitude, longitude, and time zone data.
Import, export, backup, and sharing: to let you move your own chart/report data in or out of the app when you choose to do so.
Purchases and entitlements: to unlock and maintain access to paid features, where applicable.
Support: to respond to issues or questions that you voluntarily send to us.

4. Local Storage and Device Security

Chart data and generated astrology output are primarily stored locally on your device. Some sensitive local data may be protected using platform storage mechanisms and local encryption where supported by the app and operating system. You are responsible for maintaining your device security, screen lock, backups, and access controls.

If you export, share, or back up a chart/report file, that exported file may no longer be protected by the app. Please store and share exported files carefully.

5. Location and Geocoding Services

The app may request location permission only when a feature needs current-location information, such as current-location Panchang. You can deny location permission and enter or search for a place manually.

To find coordinates and time zone details for places, the app may use third-party geocoding or location lookup services, including LocationIQ or similar providers. When such services are used, the place search text, coordinates, or related lookup request may be transmitted to that provider for the purpose of returning location data required by the app. Their processing is governed by their own privacy practices.

For app store privacy labels, this may be described as Precise Location when current coordinates are used, and Search History when you type or submit place searches inside the app. We use these only for app functionality, not for advertising or tracking.

6. Purchases

In-app purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and payment instruments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on the platform. We do not receive or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, net-banking password, or full payment credentials. The app may store local entitlement information so that purchased features can remain available.

7. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Vedangam Kundali Pro does not use user data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. We do not sell personal data. We do not use the app's chart data, location data, or search data to build an advertising profile.

Apple, Google, or your device platform may process crash reports, purchase records, diagnostics, or store analytics according to your device settings and their own policies. Those platform services are controlled by Apple or Google, not by Astro Vedangam.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Information may be shared only in these limited cases:

With location/geocoding providers when needed to complete your place lookup or current-location feature request.
With Apple App Store or Google Play for purchase processing and entitlement handling.
With service providers used for email/support if you contact us.
When required by law, legal process, fraud prevention, security, or protection of rights and safety.

9. Retention

Local chart data: remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, uninstall the app, or restore/change your device backup.
Exported files: remain wherever you save or share them until you delete them from that location.
Support emails/messages: may be retained for up to 24 months after resolution unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or dispute reasons.
Purchase records: are retained by Apple or Google under their own policies. We may retain limited records needed for support, accounting, entitlement verification, or dispute handling where applicable.
Third-party geocoding requests: are handled by the relevant provider under its own retention and logging practices.

10. Your Choices and Controls

You can create charts without using current-location permission by entering or searching for a place manually.
You can deny or revoke location permission in your device settings.
You can delete saved charts from within the app where deletion controls are available.
You can clear app data or uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data from your device, subject to your operating system and backup settings.
You can choose whether to import, export, save, or share chart/report files.
You can contact us to request help with privacy questions or support records you have sent to us.

11. Children's Privacy

The app is intended for general astrology study and calculation use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account system. A parent or guardian may enter a child's birth details locally for chart calculation. The parent or guardian is responsible for managing and deleting such locally stored chart data.

12. International Processing

Some service providers, including app stores, geocoding providers, hosting providers, email providers, and platform services, may process information in countries other than your own. Where applicable, those providers are responsible for their own infrastructure and privacy safeguards.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes, when legal requirements change, or when our service providers change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
