Terms and Conditions of Use

Acceptance of Terms: By accessing or using the Astro Vedangam website and services, you indicate that you understand and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our platform.

User Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use Astro Vedangam’s services. By using our services, you confirm that you are 18 or older (or are using the service with the consent of a parent/guardian if you are a minor). We do not knowingly provide services to individuals under 18 without parental consent, and we reserve the right to ask for age verification if needed.

Account Registration: Some services may require creating an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login details secure. Each user is allowed only one account – do not create multiple accounts or impersonate others. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

Proper Use of Services: You agree to use Astro Vedangam’s platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms and our Code of Conduct (outlined below). You will not use the website to engage in any activity that is unlawful, abusive, or violates the rights of any third party. Unauthorized commercial use of our website or content (such as advertising or promotional solicitation) is prohibited. We may investigate and take legal action against any misuse of the platform.

Intellectual Property: All content on the Astro Vedangam website, including text, images, logos, graphics, and software, is the property of Astro Vedangam (or its content providers) and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use this content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without our explicit written permission.

Modifications to Service: Astro Vedangam reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the website or services at any time, including content, features, or pricing, without notice. Any new features or tools added to the current services will also be subject to these terms. We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. It is your responsibility to review this page for any changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Astro Vedangam services if you violate these Terms and Conditions or any other policies. In such cases, we may deactivate your account and refuse any current or future use of our services. Serious violations (for example, fraud, abuse, or other unlawful activities) may result in immediate termination without prior notice. No refunds will be issued in cases of termination due to misconduct or violation of terms.

Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Astro Vedangam and its affiliates, owners, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the website/services, your breach of these terms, or any infringement of rights caused by you. This means you will be responsible for any loss or damage we suffer as a result of your violation of these terms.

Astro Vedangam strives to offer guidance rooted in vedic consultation principles to help you in matters of marriage, career, health, and more. However, it’s important to understand the limitations of vedic consultation and advice. By using our services, you acknowledge the following disclaimers:

No Exact Science or Guarantees: vedic science is not an exact science, and all vedic consultation interpretations or insights are inherently subjective. Our services (readings, forecasts, consultations, etc.) do not guarantee any specific outcomes or predict future events with certainty. Every individual’s situation is unique, and results can vary.

Not a Substitute for Professional Advice: vedic consultation guidance is not a substitute for professional advice in areas such as medicine, law, finance, or mental health. Astro Vedangam and its vedic consultants are not licensed medical practitioners, financial advisors, lawyers, or therapists. If you have important medical, legal, or financial decisions to make, or issues requiring professional care, please seek advice from a qualified professional in that field. Consider our services as a complementary spiritual insight rather than definitive advice for critical issues.

Personal Judgment & Major Decisions: We strongly advise that you never base major life decisions solely on vedic science. The guidance provided by Astro Vedangam is meant for personal development and exploration; it should not be relied upon as the sole factor in making significant life choices. Always use your own judgment and consider real-world circumstances and other expert opinions when making decisions about your life (e.g., marriage, career changes, financial investments, health treatments, etc.).

User Responsibility & No Liability: You acknowledge that any actions you take or decisions you make after consulting our vedic consultants or using our content are entirely your own responsibility. Astro Vedangam does not guarantee the accuracy or effectiveness of any prediction, remedy, or advice given. Use of our services is at your own risk, and Astro Vedangam (including our vedic consultants and staff) will not be liable for any losses, damages, or adverse consequences arising from your reliance on our vedic consultation services. In other words, we provide guidance, but how you interpret and act on it is solely up to you.

For Guidance Purposes Only: All information and vedic consultation content provided by Astro Vedangam (readings, forecasts, suggested remedies, etc.) are offered in good faith for your personal insight, inspiration, and spiritual guidance. We make no warranties or guarantees about the outcome of following this guidance. vedic consultation, by their nature, may not be 100% accurate or conclusive. Treat them as guiding possibilities and not absolute certainties.

By acknowledging these points, you agree that Astro Vedangam has sufficiently disclosed the limitations of vedic consultation consultation. We encourage you to approach our services with an open mind and a healthy sense of discretion.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

We understand that circumstances can change, and we have structured our refund and cancellation policy to be fair and compliant with Indian consumer standards for digital services. Please read the following carefully before purchasing any consultation or report:

No Refund for Completed Services: Due to the personalized and intangible nature of vedic consultation services, we do not offer refunds for consultations that have already been completed or for reports/services that have been delivered. Once you have received your vedic consultation reading, report, or attended the consultation session, the service is considered rendered in full and cannot be undone.

Cancellation of Appointments: If you need to cancel a scheduled vedic science consultation, please do so with sufficient notice. Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled consultation time are eligible for a full refund of any fees paid. However, cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment (including no-shows or last-minute cancellations) will not be eligible for a refund, as it may be difficult to fill that slot on short notice. We appreciate your understanding that our vedic consultants reserve time for your session.

Rescheduling: As an alternative to cancellation, you may request to reschedule your session. If you contact us at least 24 hours in advance, we will do our best to accommodate a new time for your consultation (subject to vedic consultant availability). Rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours before the appointment may be treated as a late cancellation (and thus might incur the no-refund policy above), at our discretion.

Service Not Delivered or Delayed: In the unlikely event that we are unable to deliver a service you paid for – for example, if an vedic consultant could not conduct the session or a report was not delivered – due to our error or unforeseen technical issues on our side, we will provide you the option of a refund or a rescheduled service. If a technical glitch or error caused your payment to be deducted but you did not receive the service, we will verify the issue and ensure you get a full refund or the service you paid for. Your satisfaction and trust are important to us.

Refund Request Procedure: If you believe you are entitled to a refund under this policy (e.g., you cancelled in time or did not receive the service), please contact our customer support team as soon as possible. You should submit your refund request within 7 days of the payment date for it to be considered. In your request, include relevant details such as your name, contact information, order/transaction ID, the service booked, and the reason for cancellation or refund. You can reach us via email at our support address or by phone (details provided on our Contact page).

Processing of Refunds: Once a refund is approved, we will process it at the earliest. Refunds are typically credited back to the original payment method. Please allow us about 7–10 business days to process the refund and for the amount to reflect in your bank or card statement (the exact timing may depend on your bank/payment provider). We will notify you when the refund has been processed from our end. If you do not receive the refund after this period, please inform us so we can assist further.

No Refund for Incorrect Information Provided: The accuracy of vedic consultation consultations and reports largely depends on the data you provide (such as your birth date, time, place, questions, etc.). It is the client’s responsibility to double-check and ensure all information given to Astro Vedangam is correct. We do not offer refunds if a service was rendered based on inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the client. In such cases, our vedic consultants have still spent time and effort on the consultation or report. Please verify your details before submission.

Duplicate Payments: If you accidentally make a duplicate payment for the same service (for example, if you refresh during payment and are charged twice), we will refund the extra payment after verifying the transaction. Please contact us with proof of double charge (transaction receipts), and we will ensure one of the payments is returned to you promptly.

Digital Products or Downloads: In case we offer digital content like e-books, pre-recorded webinars, etc., typically these are non-refundable once downloaded or accessed, unless the file is defective or not as described. We will clearly indicate on such product pages if a different refund policy applies.

Exceptions: Any exception to this refund policy (if any) will be at the sole discretion of Astro Vedangam’s management. For example, if a customer is genuinely dissatisfied with a service, we may review such cases individually to see if a partial refund or discount on a future service is warranted. However, since vedic consultation guidance is subjective, we cannot guarantee satisfaction and thus generally do not refund for “outcomes not meeting expectations.”

Policy Changes: Astro Vedangam reserves the right to change or update this Refund and Cancellation Policy. Any changes will be reflected on this page. It’s advisable to review policies periodically. However, rest assured that any bookings made prior to a policy change will be honored according to the policy that was in effect at the time of booking.

By purchasing our services, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this refund and cancellation policy. We are dedicated to being transparent and fair, and we thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is of utmost importance to us. Astro Vedangam is dedicated to protecting any personal information that you share with us. This Privacy Policy outlines what data we collect from you, why we collect it, who can access it, how long we retain it, and your rights regarding your information. We comply with applicable data protection regulations in India and ensure no unnecessary or unauthorized use of your data.

1. Information We Collect (What data we collect): When you use our services or website, we may collect:

  • Personal Details: Name, mobile number, email, birth details (date, time, place), gender, and questions/background you share.
  • Profile & Consultation Data: Kundali and related charts, consultation notes, preferences, and any files/media you upload.
  • Communications: Messages sent via in-app chat/support, and metadata related to notifications.
  • Audio/Video During Calls: Real-time audio/video streams during live sessions (enabled via a third-party SDK). Depending on session configuration or regulatory needs, our provider ZegoCloud may record or process audio/video and live sessions. Such recording/processing (including any retention) is handled by ZegoCloud under its own policy. See ZegoCloud Privacy Policy.
  • Technical & Usage Data: IP address, device and OS information, app version, crash logs, pages/screens visited, and timestamps (collected via cookies/SDKs for analytics and performance).
  • Payment Records: Transaction ID, amount, date, and service purchased. We do not store card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, or net-banking passwords.
  • Push & Identifiers: Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) tokens (stored in Firebase) and in-app instance IDs required to deliver notifications.

2. How We Use Your Information (Why we collect it):

  • Service Delivery: Generate kundali/charts, provide consultations, and process bookings/payments.
  • Account & Support: Manage your account, send confirmations/reminders/reports, and respond to support requests.
  • Real-Time Calls: Enable secure audio/video sessions and deliver push notifications.
  • Safety/Compliance: Prevent fraud, enforce terms, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Improvement & Analytics: Understand usage, fix crashes, and enhance features and performance.
  • Marketing (optional): With your consent, send updates or offers (you can opt out anytime).

2A. Who Can Access Your Data: Access is limited to:

  • Astro Vedangam Team: Authorized staff and assigned vedic consultants on a need-to-know basis and under confidentiality.
  • Third-Party Processors: ZegoCloud (real-time audio/video connectivity and, if enabled, session recording/storage subject to ZegoCloud’s policies), Firebase (notifications, analytics, crash reporting), and payment gateways (transaction processing). They process data only to provide their services to us and are contractually obligated to protect it.
  • Legal/Compliance: When required by applicable law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Protection of Your Data: We use industry-standard security practices (HTTPS/TLS, access controls, and regular updates). Only authorized personnel can access personal data. No method is 100% secure, but we act promptly on incidents and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects you.

3A. Data Retention (How long we keep it):

  • Account & Profile Data: Kept while your account is active; deleted within 30 days after confirmed account deletion (backups may persist for up to 90 days).
  • Kundali, Charts & Consultation Notes: Retained until you delete them in-app or request deletion; removed within 30 days of your request.
  • Audio/Video Sessions: Delivered in real time via ZegoCloud. ZegoCloud may record and/or store session content (including live sessions) depending on configuration or legal requirements. Any such recording and its retention are governed by ZegoCloud’s Privacy Policy; we do not control or guarantee ZegoCloud’s retention timelines.
  • APNs Tokens & Notification Identifiers (Firebase): Kept while notifications are enabled or for up to 90 days of inactivity, then purged.
  • Analytics & Crash Logs: Up to 13 months for trend analysis and service improvement.
  • Transaction Records: Minimum 5 years (or longer if legally required) for accounting and compliance.
  • Support Tickets/Emails: Up to 24 months after resolution.

4. No Sharing of Personal Data with Third Parties (without consent): We do not sell or rent your data. We share only when necessary to provide services (e.g., with assigned consultants, payment processors), when required by law, or to protect our users and platform. Service providers receive only what is needed and must keep it confidential and secure.

5. Data Storage and International Transfers: We configure primary storage for user data in Firebase (Mumbai, India). While we aim to keep data stored in India, our service providers (e.g., Firebase/Google Cloud and related security/CDN layers) operate global infrastructure. As part of delivering the service (for example, content delivery, performance optimization, security, or redundancy), certain data may be processed, transmitted, or cached outside India. Where such processing occurs, our providers state that they apply appropriate safeguards and protections consistent with applicable laws and their policies. We will update this policy if our storage locations or practices materially change.

6. Cookies and Tracking: Our website and mobile application may use “cookies” (small data files stored on your browser/device) to enhance user experience, remember preferences (such as language), and help us analyze traffic. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent; some features may not function properly without cookies.

In addition, we use Firebase services, which may store Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) tokens to enable delivery of push notifications to your device. These tokens are anonymous identifiers used solely for sending notifications and are not linked to personally identifiable information. We do not use cookies, APNs tokens, or other tracking technologies to collect personal data beyond your interactions with our app or website, nor do we track you across third-party sites or apps.

For transparency, please note that our app contains certain analytics and tracking-related code required for the Android version. Since we use a shared Flutter codebase, this code is also present in the iOS build; however, it remains inactive on iOS and does not collect, transmit, or share any user data.

7. Third-Party Links: Our site/app may contain links to third-party websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies and practices; please review them. We are not responsible for their content or data handling.

8. Your Control and Rights: You can request access to your data, ask us to correct inaccuracies, or delete data (subject to legal retention). Within the app you can delete a kundali and its related consultation data. You may also request complete account deletion; upon verification, we will deactivate and delete your account and associated personal data within the timelines stated above. For data export or deletion requests, contact us at info@astrovedangam.com. If you restrict certain processing, some services may not be available.

9. Privacy of Children: We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under the age of 18. A parent/guardian may input a child’s details solely for the purpose of obtaining consultations for the child. We recommend adding a child’s details within a separate kundali, which can be easily deleted by tapping and holding the kundali and deleting it from the pop-up’s Delete button. Parents can delete a child’s data at any time by deleting that kundali, and may also request deletion of the entire account and associated data by contacting info@astrovedangam.com. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a minor without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy: We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated “Last Updated” date and, where appropriate, notified in-app or by email. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance.

Payment Terms

Astro Vedangam offers convenient digital payment options to make booking consultations or purchasing reports easy for our customers. By making a payment on our platform, you agree to the following payment terms:

Payment in Advance: All services are provided on a prepaid basis. You must pay the applicable fee before the consultation session is conducted or the vedic consultation report is prepared/delivered. Booking of any paid vedic science service is confirmed only after we receive full payment for that service. We cannot guarantee holding a time slot or commencing work on a report until payment is completed.

Accepted Payment Methods:

  • UPI (Unified Payments Interface): You can pay through UPI apps (such as BHIM, Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.).
  • Credit/Debit Cards: All major cards (Visa, MasterCard, RuPay, etc.) issued by Indian banks are accepted.
  • Net Banking: Direct online bank transfers from select Indian banks.
  • Mobile Wallets: (If applicable) We may also support popular mobile wallets or payment apps.

Note: As of now, we primarily accept UPI and card payments from Indian accounts. If we introduce new payment options or international payment support in the future, we will update this policy.

All payments are processed in Indian Rupees (INR). We currently cater to Indian customers, and our prices are listed in INR. If you are using an international card or bank account, be aware that exchange rates or additional fees might apply (charged by your bank), and you are responsible for those.

Secure Payment Processing: Your online payment transactions on Astro Vedangam are handled through trusted, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways. We use encryption and secure connections to process payments. Astro Vedangam does not store your card numbers, CVV codes, UPI PINs, or net banking passwords. When you enter payment details, that information is securely transmitted to the payment processor (e.g., your bank or a payment gateway) for verification. We may store basic transaction records (date, amount, order ID) but not your sensitive financial data, in alignment with our Privacy Policy.

Payment Confirmation: Upon successful payment, you should receive a confirmation on-screen as well as an email or SMS receipt from us (and possibly from your payment provider or bank). This confirmation will have a unique transaction/order ID. Please save this as proof of payment. If you do not receive confirmation due to a network issue but your account was debited, contact us with the details and we will verify the payment status.

Failed Transactions: In case a payment fails or is not completed (e.g., due to network issues, browser crash, insufficient funds, etc.), your booking or purchase will not be processed. You may need to initiate the payment again. If you believe money was deducted from your account despite a failure, please check with your bank; often such amounts are auto-reversed by the bank within a few hours. If the amount isn’t reversed in a reasonable time, contact us and we will assist in verifying the transaction.

Refunds for Payments: As detailed in our Refund and Cancellation Policy above, payments are generally non-refundable once a service is delivered, except under special circumstances (like cancellation within the allowed time or service non-delivery issues). Please refer to that section for specific conditions under which a refund might be issued. If a refund is approved, it will be processed back to the same payment method you used. For example, if you paid via UPI, the refund will go to the same UPI account; if you paid by credit card, the refund will reflect on that card. We do not issue cash refunds or alternate methods for online payments.

Service Fees and Taxes: The prices listed for our vedic science services are the final charges. There are currently no hidden fees. If GST or any other tax is ever applicable, it will be included in the price or clearly indicated. You will get an invoice or receipt that outlines the amount paid and any taxes, if applicable. (As of now, vedic consultation consultancy may not be under GST, but we comply with all taxation laws as required.)

Payment Disputes: If you have any issue with a payment (for example, you were charged wrongfully, or you notice unauthorized use of your payment method), please inform us immediately. We will help investigate the matter. However, please also note that Astro Vedangam is not liable for losses due to unauthorized use of your payment instruments (for instance, if your card or UPI is used by someone without permission). Be sure to keep your payment details confidential. We will never call you asking for sensitive payment info; if anyone pretends to be Astro Vedangam support and asks for your OTP, UPI PIN or full card details, consider it fraudulent.

Offers and Discounts: At times, we may run promotional offers (like first session discounts, festival offers, etc.). The specific terms of each offer (validity, eligibility, how to redeem) will be communicated in those promotions. Generally, only one offer can be applied per transaction, and offers may not be combinable. Free or discounted services as part of promotions are also subject to these Terms of Service and policies.

By proceeding with a payment on Astro Vedangam, you signify that you understand and agree to these payment terms.

Code of Conduct

We foster a respectful and positive environment in all our interactions. Whether you are communicating with our vedic consultants via chat, phone, video, or participating in any forums or discussion, we expect all users to abide by a code of conduct that ensures dignity and respect for everyone. By using Astro Vedangam, you agree to the following:

Respectful Communication: Treat all Astro Vedangam vedic consultants, support staff, and fellow users with courtesy and respect. Harassment, abuse, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to derogatory remarks, personal attacks, hate speech, or any form of offensive language related to race, religion, caste, gender, sexual orientation, etc.

No Unlawful or Objectionable Content: You shall not post, transmit, share, or solicit any content that is illegal, defamatory, libelous, obscene, pornographic, indecent, or otherwise objectionable. This includes content that infringes on others’ intellectual property rights or privacy, content that promotes violence or unethical activities, or any material that would violate any law.

Personal Data & Privacy Respect: Do not share someone else’s personal information without their consent, and do not ask vedic consultants to share their personal contact information outside the platform. vedic consultants on Astro Vedangam are prohibited from sharing their personal contact details (phone number, email, social media handles) with users, and vice versa, outside the official channels.

No Spam or Commercial Activities: Astro Vedangam’s platform is for personal vedic consultation consultation and guidance. Do not use it to advertise or promote any products, services, or other websites without our explicit permission. Any detected spam or self-promotion will be removed, and the offending account may be suspended.

One Account Per User: Each individual user should create only one account on Astro Vedangam. Creating multiple accounts for the purpose of obtaining multiple introductory offers, circumventing bans, or any form of deception is strictly prohibited.

Appropriate Use of Platform: You agree not to misuse our platform in technical ways either. This means you will not attempt to hack, DDoS, or impair the operation of our website or app. You will not deploy bots or automated systems to flood chat or extract data.

Follow Session Guidelines: During live vedic science sessions (chat/phone/video), follow any guidelines provided (for example, duration of call, asking one question at a time, etc.). Treat the session like a professional consultation. If the vedic consultant gives instructions (like providing your birth details in a specific format, or waiting your turn in a group session), please cooperate to allow a smooth experience for everyone.

No Inappropriate Requests: Please keep discussions relevant to vedic science and life guidance. Do not proposition the vedic consultants for unrelated services or personal favors. For example, asking an vedic consultant to engage in non-vedic consultation activities, or attempting to develop an intimate personal relationship beyond the professional scope, is against the ethical boundaries of our platform.

Enforcement: If you violate this Code of Conduct or any other terms, Astro Vedangam reserves the right to take appropriate action. This can include warnings, removal of content, temporary suspension of your account, or permanent termination of service access without refund. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement if laws are broken.

By maintaining this Code of Conduct, we ensure a positive atmosphere where vedic consultation guidance can be given and received in good faith. We value all our clients and vedic consultants, and we trust that you will help us in upholding these standards of behavior. Thank you for your cooperation in making Astro Vedangam a respectful and uplifting community.

Limitation of Liability and Jurisdiction

Limitation of Liability: By using Astro Vedangam’s services, you understand and agree that our liability to you is extremely limited. Astro Vedangam and its owners, employees, or vedic consultants will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. This includes (but is not limited to) loss of data, loss of profits, financial loss, or personal loss that you or anyone else may incur as a result of following vedic consultation advice or due to the use of (or inability to use) our website and services.

All information and services on our platform are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties or guarantees of any kind, either expressed or implied. We do not warrant that the website will be available at all times or free of errors, or that any results obtained from our services will meet your expectations.

Maximum Liability: To the extent any liability is found and to the extent permitted by law, the maximum aggregate liability of Astro Vedangam towards you for any cause whatsoever will not exceed the total amount of fees you have paid for our services directly related to the cause of action.

Jurisdiction and Governing Law: These terms and any dispute arising from your use of Astro Vedangam are governed by the laws of India. By using our services, you agree that if any disputes or legal claims arise, they will be resolved under Indian law and submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

Severability: If any provision of these terms or policies is found to be unlawful or unenforceable by an Indian court of law, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

Entire Agreement: These Terms of Use, along with the Disclaimer, Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, Payment Terms, Code of Conduct, and other policies set forth above, constitute the entire agreement between you and Astro Vedangam with respect to our services. Any ambiguity in interpreting these terms shall not be construed against the drafting party.

Jurisdictional Availability: Astro Vedangam’s services are intended for users within India. Those who access the service from outside India do so at their own initiative and risk, and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

Contact and Support: If you have any questions, concerns, or disputes regarding these terms, you are encouraged to contact our customer support for resolution. We believe in amicably resolving client issues and will earnestly attempt to address any grievances. However, if a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be handled in accordance with the provisions above.
